Brief History
Renaissance Studio was founded 1970 in Westport, CT by Peter Green and his sister Susan as a custom stained glass studio providing art glass windows, lamps and ceiling windows for residential, commercial and ecclesiastical clients in Fairfield county, Connecticut. The first location was on the Old Kings Highway and Route #1 intersection, in an old stone ice weighing station near Nashs’ pond. The studio spent a few years there before moving to a larger facility on Saugatuck Ave., of Westport, where Renaissance artisans spent the next 30 years creating thousands of stained glass artworks.
When Susan left the studio in 1973,to pursue a very successful business career, she was replaced by Peters’ artistic and multi - talented wife Tina. The two then helped each other build a stained glass studio that grew to include as many as five full time artisans, undertaking thousands of commissions large and small throughout the U.S. and 5 other foreign countries.
